We’ve compiled a list of FAQs that we receive each year.  If you can’t find the answer to your question, please contact us.

On Garrison Bay, Mille Lacs Lake in Garrison Minnesota, and Myr Mar Marina, 3 miles north of Garrison.

Tickets are only available online this year.

No, all holes are pre-drilled the morning of the contest. We do suggest bringing a chisel in case the hole ices over.

No, there are no houses, shelters or wind breaks of any kind allowed.  All fisher people and holes must be visible at all times.

For any of the Mini Contests that are not sold out, tickets will be available on the ice. 

Yes, flashers are allowed during the contest.

Yes there are portable restrooms scattered throughout the contest area.

Morning flights are 9:00 to 11:00.  Gates open at 8:00.

Afternoon flights are 2:00 to 4:00. Gates open at 1:00.

Yes, as long as ice conditions allow we have plowed designated parking areas.
There is no driving or parking within the fishing boundaries though.

Yes, we have specific reserved handicap parking and driving service for those needing help getting to and from their vehicle.  Volunteers with Side by Side ATV’s can assist you if requested.

We will have a small bar set up at each site.  We will not have food available for purchase this year. 

Yes, we have lots of raffles and games that you can play to win lots of great prizes.

If you win a firearm you will need to fill out and pass the background check after you win.  You will need to pass that background check before you are able to take possession of that firearm.  

There are two entry points.  Garrison Sports and Myr Mar Marina.   Watch for signs. Once on the lake, we will have signage pointing you toward your specific contest area. 

At any sold out events, we will be at the maximum outdoor event load. So people without a ticket will not be allowed to enter.
